Who this policy applies to
This policy covers refund requests for paid Wonder Saga subscriptions purchased from wondersaga.com or wondersaga.se. Wonder Saga is operated by Mawal AB, a Swedish private limited company (organization number 559279-0462, VAT number SE559279046201), with its registered office at Hallandsgatan 38, 118 57 Stockholm, Sweden.
If you have any questions about this policy, or want to start a refund request, write to info@wondersaga.com.
Your 30-day refund
You can request a refund within 30 days of your initial subscription purchase. The refund is proportional to the stories you have not yet used in your current billing period.
- If you have used no stories in the current billing period, you receive a full refund of the charge for that period.
- If you have used some stories, the refund is calculated on the stories remaining out of your plan's monthly allocation.
For example, on the 31 stories per month plan with 4 stories used and 27 remaining, the refund is calculated on 27 of 31 stories, up to 87% of the charge for that billing period.
The 30-day refund window applies once per customer, on your first eligible purchase. Renewal charges and later purchases are not refundable under this voluntary policy, except where applicable consumer law requires otherwise.
How to request a refund and how refunds are processed
Send a refund request to info@wondersaga.com from the email address on your Wonder Saga account. Include your Paddle order ID or a copy of the order confirmation email Paddle sent you.
Mawal AB assesses each refund request against this policy. Approved refunds are issued by Paddle to your original payment method, normally within 14 days of approval.
Refunds include any VAT, sales tax, or equivalent that was charged on the original transaction. You receive the full inclusive amount of the eligible portion.
Refunds are issued in the original transaction currency at the original transaction amount. If your bank converts the refund into another currency, that is between you and your bank.
Payments and refunds through Paddle
Payments are processed by Paddle, who acts as Merchant of Record for all Wonder Saga orders. The specific Paddle entity is shown at checkout and on your order confirmation. Paddle issues refunds to the original payment method on our behalf.
You may also contact Paddle directly at www.paddle.com/help.
EU and UK statutory rights for digital content
If you are a consumer in the EU, EEA, or UK, you normally have a 14-day right of withdrawal for purchases made online. For digital content delivered immediately, this right can be waived under Article 16(m) of the EU Consumer Rights Directive (and the equivalent UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013).
At checkout you confirm that you want immediate access to Wonder Saga. You also acknowledge that, by requesting immediate access, you lose your statutory 14-day right of withdrawal for any digital content already delivered to you (the stories and illustrations Wonder Saga generates).
Your consent and acknowledgement are recorded in the order confirmation email Paddle sends to you, which serves as confirmation of the contract on a durable medium under Article 8(7) of the Directive.
The 30-day refund described in this policy is voluntary and goes beyond what the statutory withdrawal rules would otherwise provide for digital content.
Your statutory rights are not limited
The voluntary refund described in this policy is in addition to, and does not limit, your mandatory rights as a consumer under applicable law. That includes the legal guarantee of conformity for digital content and digital services under the EU Consumer Rights Directive, the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, and equivalent consumer protection laws in your country or state.
Where statutory rights give you a stronger or longer remedy than this policy, the statutory remedy applies.
Auto-renewal and cancellation
Wonder Saga subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. You can cancel in any of the following ways:
- Open your account settings and click "Manage subscription" to open the Paddle customer portal, then cancel from there.
- Use the cancellation link in the order confirmation email Paddle sent you.
- Email info@wondersaga.com and we will cancel for you.
Cancellation stops future charges. You keep access to Wonder Saga until the end of the period you have already paid for.
Generated stories count toward your usage
Stories and illustrations you generate count toward your plan's monthly allocation for refund calculations, even if you later delete them from your account. The refund calculation in section 2 uses the count of stories generated in the current billing period, not the count of stories currently saved.
Refund abuse
We reserve the right to refuse refund requests where there is objective evidence of abuse. Examples include repeated refund requests across multiple accounts associated with the same person or payment method, fraudulent payment activity, and systematic generation and refund of content to extract value from Wonder Saga.
Statutory consumer rights are not affected by this clause.
Chargebacks
If you file a chargeback with your bank or card issuer before contacting us, we may suspend your account while the dispute is investigated. Please contact us first at info@wondersaga.com so we can resolve the issue directly. Most refund requests can be handled within a day or two by email.
Complaints and dispute resolution
If you are not satisfied with how we handle a refund request, you may have additional options under your local consumer protection laws:
- If you are a consumer in the EU or EEA, you can use the European Commission's directory of consumer dispute resolution bodies at consumer-redress.ec.europa.eu/dispute-resolution-bodies to find a body in your country.
- If you are a consumer in the United Kingdom, you can contact your local Citizens Advice service or the relevant alternative dispute resolution scheme.
- If you are a consumer in the United States, you can file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission at reportfraud.ftc.gov or with your state attorney general.
- If you are in another jurisdiction, please contact your national consumer protection authority.
For complaints to us, write to info@wondersaga.com.
